June Highlights

Here goes another monthly chapter of my life. This is the third month in this series and to be honest I was kinda slacking in the picture taking department this month. I took more pictures of food which means I failed to take more pics of my friends and actual surroundings haha. I hope to improve upon that next month. Also, since a lot of days were very chill I just didn't think it was necessary to report on it. 

Anyhooo, let's get started!

**Oh, some of these may not be in exact order but for the most part starts at the beginning to the end of the month!**

  

Whatt who are these derps? Oh yes, my wonderful cousins Arielle, Aila, and Arielle's bf Ian. I was fortunate to see them multiple times this month as our schedules worked out well. The first occasion we visited them up north and just hung out for the day. We ate at PUBlic House and holy shit this place is amazingly good. On the second occasion my cousins had came down and we ate at Manna Korean BBQ then Up2You Cafe for dessert (not shown) ^_^ Look we triple dated with my sisters bf Aaron, aren't we cutee heheh

 

More cousin events? Yes please! (yes..I have many cousins) We celebrated my cousin Cathleen's birthday with 3 games of laser tag and let me tell you it was intense. I am very bad at laser tag and I kid you not..I was sore for a week after playing. It involves a lot of running and you don't even realize you're doing squats ;-; I am very out of shape ugh. There was also this punching machine in the arcade lobby and I punch a 407 how about you!?

Okay..let's be honest. Some of my days & nights are spent like this - playing video games at home.

I am currently very much into Skyrim V. My boyfriend has been playing League of Legends and Yugioh with our friends as well. ;)

 

My friends and I visited the county of oranges this month and had an epic food adventure! Not shown but we ate at Kickin Crab, 85 deg. Bakery, Snow Monster, Tastea, McDonalds......wow we are fat.

Unfortunately, all of the places we take those cool japanese photos were closed D: ehhh lame. I wanna do a Little Tokyo trip in LA soon heheheh

***Side note*** Since I am trying to not post all of the endless pictures of food that I take, I started an Instagram just for all of the place I eat and take pictures of. :)

June means high school graduations!! And here we have my cousin Jesse graduating. Ahh yes I am very proud. To be honest I hate going to graduations cause they can be so boring. Actually, I got yelled at by this lady behind me cause I was causing a ruckus with my other family members hehehehe We ate at Joe's Crab Shack for dinner :)

Some days are spent like this with my best friends chilling..actually I can't remember what we did this day lmao for some reason I never take enough pictures with them :( I think we went shopping actually haha

Oh yeah!!! How could I forget about the San Diego Fair in Del Mar?!?! I went with my sister and her bf Aaron. To be honest I'm not a huge fair fan but I have not gone in like 3 years so I said why not?! This years theme was the Beetles, how cool right?! And now I am socked up on a good supply of new stuffed animals ^_^

Damn my boyfriend and I are hawtt! Haha right after the fair we attended a birthday dinner for our friend Jennie. We ate at Bucca Di Beppo in downtown and afterwords went back to her house to chiiillll. The girls spent the rest of the evening sipping on some wine..okay a lot of wine..and oh boy I am already a light drinker and this wine got my drunk -_- I ended up throwing up before heading home how sadddd lmao

Eyy, my cousins are back again?! Yess, and this time we ate at Crab Hut and went to the beach after ^_^ The weather was perfect and the ocean water was soooo warm. Oh san diego, I love you! Funny story about this day: my sister was just laying out and s young fella come up and asks her to play volleyball heheheh we had to shoo him away though. He looked so young! Probably 16 at most! Which would make my sister a pedophile cause she's 19 despite her looks ^0^""!

Oh, we also ate ramen after the beach but I won't post the pic! If you wanna see it just go to my food instagram duhh

Okay, I know what I JUST said ^^^ up there about food pics but I didn't take any with people or places cause I forgot -_-" Well, this day I was hanging out with Margot and we ate Korean food, chilled midday, and then in the evening we spontaneiusly went to hang out with Margot's bf Brandon and their friend Wanda. Actually, I've known Wanda, Margot, and Brandon since middle school but this was my first time ever hanging out with Wanda. :) We ended up going to Extraordinary Desserts The line was fucking long and I ended up disliking my cake and spilling my matcha latte all over my lap ;-; but I still had a good time ^_^

I payed a visit to my handy-man uncle with some car troubles! He changed my spark plugs while I played with his kids. My little cousin Gavie forced me to play the Wii with him haha x) After that I went over to my aunts house cause it was also my grandpa's bday! We didn't do much, just hung out and after I went with Cathleen, Pam, and Chris to eat at Cafe Hue :)

One of the funnest things I did this month was go to Joshua Tree National Park to the Jumbo Rocks campgrounds. We went for my my boyfriends birthday yay! It was really hot out in the desert (no duh) but at night the sky was so clear you could see the milky way. *=* We spent a lot of time climbing the rocks which was fun and the views were beautiful. On our way passing through we stopped at this random dinosaur sculpture museum! I looooove dinosaurs *__* We didn't actually tour the exhibit though cause it cost money lmao

The day we got home from camping Hieu's brother wanted to take us out for his birthday too so we ate at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ with a bunch of their friends/ co workers and had lot of fun ^_^ I was all of our first times there and the food was delicious! *drool*

Ahh one of the last things I did this month (okay actually the pics above were on July 1) but I'm including it as a representation of all the chill days hanging out with friends just spending time together, playing games and what not. :]

Thus concludes the month of June!

It's a little bittersweet :'(

Some other things to mention that happened in my life is that I got accepted into SDSU (woo!)

But I've been swamped in my free time submitting papers paying fees and all this other stressful stuff.

Tis only the beginning of my university life.

Maybe I should do a community college experience blog post eh? :)

Oh and me and Venetia and my sister Chloe were tricked into a job presentation by my cousins Jesse! I won't talk about it really..but it was an experience haha ;P

May Highlights

Hello again! Can you believe how fast a month flew by??? This month was hectic in a good way! I had school finals this month >:( but I also had the need to start doing summer activities! I finally get a real summer break this year, oh god its been so long since I had a break ;-; 

I think I might start making separate bog posts for larger events I attend. I had a lot of extra pictures and stuff I could go into wayy more detail about. In this post, no surprise I have hellllaaa food pictures. I eat out a lot and love trying new places! 

Okay long intro over!

So the first week I didn't do much, I still had my regular class schedule. So me and the boyfriend had grabbed lunch at a place we've never been called Cafe 21 (link to their Yelp page)

It's a really chill place and their food is great; they also have a downtown location!

I tried fishing this month! I used to HATEEEE fishing cause my dad would always take me to the pier and it was cold and gross :( but since the boyfriend and friends like fishing I thought I'd get over stand put some effort into trying :) The weather was beautiful ^_^ I didn't catch any fish but I could get used to the chill atmosphere of having the patience to fish :)

Nothing says summer like bbq! Okay, May isn't quite summer yet but here in San Diego it pretty much is! (yes, be jealous if you aint from SoCal) Nothing much to say about this, they'll be plenty more bbq pics in the upcoming posts I bet.

More food! It's Thai food this time :) I ate with my cousin at Siam Nara

in Mira Mesa. We had just picked up our ROC Race packets (more info coming up).

This place was super fancy and ornate on the inside I was shocked! But the prices weren't bad at all for how fancy and good the food was.

Okay so I participated in a race this month! It was first time doing something like this. The  Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge "ROC" Race is a 5k run with 12 obstacle races through out. Obstacles like a water slide to a swinging rope! It was so fun I recommend it highly! Next year I'll probably wear a cool team costume :) Oh, one down side for ladies. If you wear something tight, you'll have wet bottoms & undies the whole race which was very uncomfortable so prepare for that...

Happy Mother's Day! My mom was gone most of the day lmao so I waited at home for her alone -_- We didn't do anything special but my sister and I got her a cool foot spa for a gift! Later that day I ended up eating at Sycuan Casino's restaurant with my boyfriends family :)

Lmao my faces are weird but here I am at the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH. Yes, Disneyland!!! Originally it was supposed to be a double date but our friend got sick :( So me and Hieu still went hehe. I love Disneyland but we both are such old people we decided to leave early & go get outside food! TBH I was disappointed in the restaurant we ate at inside Disneyland :/

We left Disneyland and ate at Kickin Crab in Irvine. In that same plaza was one of my favorite bakeries 85 degrees they sell all sorts of bread and on the side area there are desserts *_* droool

I guess it's worth mentioning, but I saw Godzilla with the bf and my best friend + her bf. I was kinda disappointed only because there was not enough Godzilla in this movie. I wanted more cool fight scenes but nope -_-

I'm so glad I have more free time because I am able to hang out with my family more often! I went swimming with my cousins at their place - I love swimming but I got so tan lmao. & then we tried a new sandwich place (btw sandwiches are one of my favorite foods) called Supernatural Sandwiches they specialize in seafood sandwiches and omg they are delicious. My cousins and I all got something different and none of them were bad! For dessert we tried ANOTHER new place called 

Blush Desserts. The owner is the sweetest and works so hard! She makes unique macarons like jackfruit & durian flavors.

Don't get distracted by all the fun. Here's another typical lunch date with babe after my class. We ate at Soda and Swine which we've never been to before! It was suuper chill and has a cool atmosphere. Don't be fooled, those sliders are tiiinyy so if you're hungry I'd recommend getting a sandwich. Also, those friessss they have a great and delicious selection of side dishes. After eating we got dessert at Blush Dessert because I am..obsessed.

Annnnnd another lunch date after school at my favorite cafe Opera Cafe & Patisserie the funny story about this place is that I HAD to go here so I could get a receipt and write a page report about it for my French class. Btw, Je peux parler francais un peu. J'ai etudie trois semestre de francais. Anyway, we ordered the Croque Madame, Ahi Salad, Truffle Fries, & a Berry mascarpone for dessert.

More fun with friends at a graduation partyyy! Lots of drunkies but I was a fatass a lllll night eating literally..everything..

Congrats to all the grads of 2014!!

Girls just wanna have fun without boys! Wine, cheese, crackers, and GOSSIP lol The second picture was actually the day after so I could catch up and talk about some life problems with my girl. (She's the one who got sick on the day we were going to Disneyland!!) We ate lunch at my favorite lunch spot for korean bbq, Roadem BBQ I've probably talked about this before but yeah its an under rated bbq place but its so good and cheap!

Alrightttt, you've made it to the end of the month! The last thing I did this month was go on a real date with my beb ^_^ We ate at Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot which is similar to Shabu-shabu if you've had that or korean bbq. You order some raw foods and cook it in a broth. This place can be pricey if you tend to order order. I've been there a long time ago once so it was pretty much new to me going this time.

The picture next to it are the snacks we bought at Zion market for the theater. We ended up grabbing a couple of things we hadn't tried before too! All the snacks were so yummy! If you like nutella you'd love all of the hazelnut stuff we got. Pocari Sweat I had always seen around so I was like fuck it lets buy it! I think its supposed to be like Gatorade??? 

So we ended up watching Maleficent and it was amazing!!! Go see it!! I love Angelina Jolie <3

This concludes my month of May! There were somethings I left out like hanging out with my besties Margot and Venetia. There was also my sisters birthday..but I failed to take pics.. :(

I can't believe I did all of this and still managed to pass my classes! Only A's & B's babbyyyyy oh yeaaaa. lol
