July Highlights

Here we are again another month has passed. Actually, I felt like July went by at a relative speed. There were quite a few birthday's this month, shout out to all of you July babes! 

I'm legit scared for August because school is going to start ahhh ;-;

Anyways, let's take a look back at the month of July:

Happy birthday (again) to my dear friend Crystal! We had a party at Min Sok Chon which has karaoke rooms where you can drink and sing and just have a good time :) [& bad times but that's not a story to tell here haha] I'll never forget the times I karaoke with these guys because its hilarious and memorable lol

Woo of course in America one of the biggest events of July is Independence Day (July 4th)! Almost every year my family sets up at the park and we spend the day running around like kids and walking around the little fair area until the firework show. 

Happee birthdae to Yenny! Her boyfriend threw her a surprise birthday party and it was another night to remember (especially for me but I aint gonna talk bout that here) We drank and stuff and some of us stayed the night, including me.

The next morning the best food to eat after drinking is tacos!! yumm we went to Tacos El Gordo ^_^

That same day we went our for dinner to URBN Coal Fired Pizza Bar and Hammond's Gourmet Ice Cream for dessert :)

*phew* what a birthday :)

Something a bit more random this month, I attended a writing workshop with my cousins (we're in the same grade and had to take the same test) and so after we went to eat at Tapex or Tapioca Express and then we got to jump for free at Sky High Sports with my other cousins. This place is always a work out *_* 

This cake is the only picture I got of girl's shopping day :( My girlfriends and I ate at Nordstrom Cafe 

and shopped a bit ^_^ <3

Sorry for a lot of pictures of food :| my boyfriend and I went to Mitsuwa market to buy snacks and we came across the new Matcha Love stand where they sell yummy green tea soft serve and other things ^_^ 

So a thing my family has started doing is this style of outdoor eating where we cook a bunch of seafood and place banana (or palm? idk) leaves down and we eat on it instead of using plates and utensils we use our hands. 

After eating we had a water ballon + squirt gun fight, we were gonna go to the pool after anyway :P My cousins are crazy haha

I really wanted to see Planet of the Apes: Dawn of the Apes so I convinced everyone to go :)

This is the only good picture I have from ANOTHER birthday event for our friend JP. So happy birthday again! We at at Karl Strauss Brewery downtown and afterwords went to a bar (which I couldn't get into *sob*) 

I went on a spontaneous LA/ OC trip and we did a lot of adventuring and eating! I'll just list the things we did: All you can eat KBBQ, Little Tokyo, Art district, Blacktop Coffee, Little shops near that coffee place, Porto's Bakery, The Donuttery, Kickin' Crab, Bon Epi Patisserie & Cafe.........is that it? Ahh good times good times :)

Ahh so you remember that workshop I went to? So this is the place where I went to take my test yay so exciting -_-

I didn't get a friend selfie but I did a mini-girls night after my friends and I went to a cafe and did some back to school shopping <3

So we managed to make it up to Murrieta to see my cousins again ^_^ its so hot up there I'm glad that they have a pool ^o^ We didn't do much, bbq, swim, sleep over & chill yeah sounds about right haha Its super hot up there so I'm grateful its not that bad here in SD.

This sandwich represents me and my friend Margot hanging out because I didn't take a proper picture haha we ate lunch & did some shopping and just hung out the rest of the day <3

BBQ BBQ BBQ is the essence of summer. Here me and my friends are grilling oysters and some marinated meat :)

A lot of the times its me and Kristy who just chill out inside while the boys do this:

Again I didn't take any people pictures..but Kristy and I did some semi-homemade cooking! She made the goat cheese pasta with chicken & I made a strawberry short cake :D

Wedge between the hectic planned out events I spend my time with the love of my life just going out to eat, watching movies, and playing games <3 I cherish those moments =*

But when EVERYONE is busy, I end up alone and bored on a summer day. So I go to the mall by myself and shop! heheh

I know last month ended with friends playing jenga but that is were this month ends as well. Kinda funny isn't it haha

Looking back I feel all the emotions that occurred. Its wonderful and I hope I can look back from way in the distant future and still feel the same way. Thank you to all my friends and family for making my life so fun and happy! 

June Highlights

Here goes another monthly chapter of my life. This is the third month in this series and to be honest I was kinda slacking in the picture taking department this month. I took more pictures of food which means I failed to take more pics of my friends and actual surroundings haha. I hope to improve upon that next month. Also, since a lot of days were very chill I just didn't think it was necessary to report on it. 

Anyhooo, let's get started!

**Oh, some of these may not be in exact order but for the most part starts at the beginning to the end of the month!**

  

Whatt who are these derps? Oh yes, my wonderful cousins Arielle, Aila, and Arielle's bf Ian. I was fortunate to see them multiple times this month as our schedules worked out well. The first occasion we visited them up north and just hung out for the day. We ate at PUBlic House and holy shit this place is amazingly good. On the second occasion my cousins had came down and we ate at Manna Korean BBQ then Up2You Cafe for dessert (not shown) ^_^ Look we triple dated with my sisters bf Aaron, aren't we cutee heheh

 

More cousin events? Yes please! (yes..I have many cousins) We celebrated my cousin Cathleen's birthday with 3 games of laser tag and let me tell you it was intense. I am very bad at laser tag and I kid you not..I was sore for a week after playing. It involves a lot of running and you don't even realize you're doing squats ;-; I am very out of shape ugh. There was also this punching machine in the arcade lobby and I punch a 407 how about you!?

Okay..let's be honest. Some of my days & nights are spent like this - playing video games at home.

I am currently very much into Skyrim V. My boyfriend has been playing League of Legends and Yugioh with our friends as well. ;)

 

My friends and I visited the county of oranges this month and had an epic food adventure! Not shown but we ate at Kickin Crab, 85 deg. Bakery, Snow Monster, Tastea, McDonalds......wow we are fat.

Unfortunately, all of the places we take those cool japanese photos were closed D: ehhh lame. I wanna do a Little Tokyo trip in LA soon heheheh

***Side note*** Since I am trying to not post all of the endless pictures of food that I take, I started an Instagram just for all of the place I eat and take pictures of. :)

June means high school graduations!! And here we have my cousin Jesse graduating. Ahh yes I am very proud. To be honest I hate going to graduations cause they can be so boring. Actually, I got yelled at by this lady behind me cause I was causing a ruckus with my other family members hehehehe We ate at Joe's Crab Shack for dinner :)

Some days are spent like this with my best friends chilling..actually I can't remember what we did this day lmao for some reason I never take enough pictures with them :( I think we went shopping actually haha

Oh yeah!!! How could I forget about the San Diego Fair in Del Mar?!?! I went with my sister and her bf Aaron. To be honest I'm not a huge fair fan but I have not gone in like 3 years so I said why not?! This years theme was the Beetles, how cool right?! And now I am socked up on a good supply of new stuffed animals ^_^

Damn my boyfriend and I are hawtt! Haha right after the fair we attended a birthday dinner for our friend Jennie. We ate at Bucca Di Beppo in downtown and afterwords went back to her house to chiiillll. The girls spent the rest of the evening sipping on some wine..okay a lot of wine..and oh boy I am already a light drinker and this wine got my drunk -_- I ended up throwing up before heading home how sadddd lmao

Eyy, my cousins are back again?! Yess, and this time we ate at Crab Hut and went to the beach after ^_^ The weather was perfect and the ocean water was soooo warm. Oh san diego, I love you! Funny story about this day: my sister was just laying out and s young fella come up and asks her to play volleyball heheheh we had to shoo him away though. He looked so young! Probably 16 at most! Which would make my sister a pedophile cause she's 19 despite her looks ^0^""!

Oh, we also ate ramen after the beach but I won't post the pic! If you wanna see it just go to my food instagram duhh

Okay, I know what I JUST said ^^^ up there about food pics but I didn't take any with people or places cause I forgot -_-" Well, this day I was hanging out with Margot and we ate Korean food, chilled midday, and then in the evening we spontaneiusly went to hang out with Margot's bf Brandon and their friend Wanda. Actually, I've known Wanda, Margot, and Brandon since middle school but this was my first time ever hanging out with Wanda. :) We ended up going to Extraordinary Desserts The line was fucking long and I ended up disliking my cake and spilling my matcha latte all over my lap ;-; but I still had a good time ^_^

I payed a visit to my handy-man uncle with some car troubles! He changed my spark plugs while I played with his kids. My little cousin Gavie forced me to play the Wii with him haha x) After that I went over to my aunts house cause it was also my grandpa's bday! We didn't do much, just hung out and after I went with Cathleen, Pam, and Chris to eat at Cafe Hue :)

One of the funnest things I did this month was go to Joshua Tree National Park to the Jumbo Rocks campgrounds. We went for my my boyfriends birthday yay! It was really hot out in the desert (no duh) but at night the sky was so clear you could see the milky way. *=* We spent a lot of time climbing the rocks which was fun and the views were beautiful. On our way passing through we stopped at this random dinosaur sculpture museum! I looooove dinosaurs *__* We didn't actually tour the exhibit though cause it cost money lmao

The day we got home from camping Hieu's brother wanted to take us out for his birthday too so we ate at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ with a bunch of their friends/ co workers and had lot of fun ^_^ I was all of our first times there and the food was delicious! *drool*

Ahh one of the last things I did this month (okay actually the pics above were on July 1) but I'm including it as a representation of all the chill days hanging out with friends just spending time together, playing games and what not. :]

Thus concludes the month of June!

It's a little bittersweet :'(

Some other things to mention that happened in my life is that I got accepted into SDSU (woo!)

But I've been swamped in my free time submitting papers paying fees and all this other stressful stuff.

Tis only the beginning of my university life.

Maybe I should do a community college experience blog post eh? :)

Oh and me and Venetia and my sister Chloe were tricked into a job presentation by my cousins Jesse! I won't talk about it really..but it was an experience haha ;P
