Cute Back to School Haul (Again!): Daiso, Target, & Amazon

August is just around the corner which means school for a lot of students! Arg, why am I even mentioning school, it's still summer! To put it simply: I love school supply shopping!! I couldn't wait haha I have an old school supply haul I made over a year ago here where I feature cheap supplies for $20 or less! It's still relevant so check it out :)
Let's take a look at what I picked up this year!

Left to right:
  1. Casio calculator (I'm not taking any math yet but just in case..) - Office Depot
  2. Mini stapler - ?
  3. Staple remover - ?
  4. "Bonne Chance" pencil pouch -Daiso
  5. Sharpie highlighters & permanent marker - Target
  6. Papermate mechanical pencil - Target
  7. Multicolored pen - Typo
  8. Princess style blue, black, red multi pen - Daiso
  9. Frog sticky notes - Daiso
  10. G2 black gel pen .35 (my favorite!) - Target
  11. Cute water bottle - Daiso

*Closer look*

  1. Seafoam green binder (w/ cute Sugarpill sticker I put on it) - 99 Cents Store
  2. Index Dividers - Target
  3. Sheet Protectors - Target
  4. College Ruled Paper - Target

*I kept my old binder cause I didn't wanna buy a new one; I also prefer the flexible binders more than the traditional ones because it is lighter and cheaper*

This is the backpack I bought for school! I already have it but its not filled with stuff so its all deflated and doesn't sit right in the picture but it looks just like the photo! I bought a real backpack because I was tired of carrying a purse for a bag. It also has a laptop compartment so my laptop will be safe.

~

As you can see compared to my previous haul I've been more selective in what supplies I bring. I don't need notebooks anymore because I started to carry around my laptop and I just take notes on that instead. Also, I have  backpack now because it is much more practical. You can also imagine that I will also be carrying items such as my wallet, make up bag, etc to school but I just didn't show it :P

What's In My Make-Up Bag/ Drugstore Favorites

Omg look guys another post!! I decided to do a what's in my makeup bag post because I'll probably get around to doing an everyday face make-up video! I use basically all drugstore products and I generally repurchase my favorites. So here's what I have:

I got this bag for free from Rite Aid in LA when I went to IMATS :)

It holds everything but I have to arrange them so it fits haha

An overview of what's inside

So I've been testing different foundation and I am currently using the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation. I am shade 200 Warm Beige :)

These are my daily brushes. I have 2 ELF powder brushes, one Crown buffer brush (similar to the Sigma round kabuki), one Crown angled brush, one Sigma e05, and a spoolie brush from an old mascara.

I have two quads of eyeshadows. On the left is from Revlon and I mainly just use the brown for my brows.
On the right is a custom Lancome palette that I use when I want to wear eyeshadow.
In the middle is the ELF gel eyeliner.

I carry two mascaras and 3 eyeliners lmao. I've repurchased the Maybelline Colossal like 100 times haha its my favorite. And I've been liking the L'Oreal Voluminous too.
I use a the Wet n Wild Liquid Liner over my gel.
Sometimes I'll line my waterline with Rimmel Kohl Liner.

For lips I have chapstick and a tinted lemon lip balm and two lipsticks which are Limecrime's centrifuschia and Revlon's Pink in the Afternoon.

For the face, I have two blushes: ELF in Candid Coral and NYX in Cinnamon.
My facepowder broke ;-; but its the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder.

Some misc. tools I have hair ties, bobby pins, tweezers, and an eyelash curler.

Welp making this post opens my eyes to how much stuff I have haha
I feel like I need to reduce it a bit hehe
SO, look out for a possible everyday make-up tutorial with all these products.
Also, a back to school fashion post will be coming too!

What's In My Bento Box: Uncrustable Nutella Strawberry Banana Sandwiches

Hello! I wanted to share this lovely contraption with you all and it is an uncrustable sandwich press! Okay..I don't know what they're actually called but they are popular in Japan to make yummy sandwiches :)
I bought mine at a Marukai Living here in San Diego. It was sooo inexpensive too, about 2 bucks. It is also super cute and pink and has a heart!! ~
Many, like myself, are going back to school and many, like myself, are too cheap to play for expensive school food!!

What you will need:
Nutella, bread, strawberries & bananas
Of course you can get creative! Other fillings include cream, peanut butter, jellies, or you could even make a savory sandwich with meats and/ or veggies. Yum!

1) Set up half of your sandwich and place in the center of the base (white) of the press.
Make sure you align correctly so that the crust part is hanging over the edges

2) Place other half of sandwich on top and then place the top part of the press (pink)
The pink should be aligned so it fits into the white base accordingly.

3) Press down with all your force!!!!!!!!!!!!
The pink should lock into the white part and the crusts should be cut off leaving a sealed off sandwich

The end result

You can also make triangle shaped ones:

Too cute right?!?!
I HATE bread crusts so much, I always peel them off haha
That's all for now folks~
Until next timee :)

Drugstore Makeup Haul & Mitsuwa Haul!

Instead of buying new clothes this month I ended up buying makeup and other stuff. But I was really in need of new makeup because I was forcibly trying to make my dried up liner work and I was over it. (U_U")
So this is what I had picked up from Target & Walmart:

  • Cotton Balls
  • Tea Tree Oil
  • L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara (in Black & is Waterproof)
  • Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Honey
  • E.L.F. Gel Eyeliner in Black
  • Wet n' Wild Liquid Liner in Black
  • Revlon Lipstick in Cherry Blossom
To be honest the most expensive purchase was the tea tree oil. Most of these products are new to me and I can say I really love them all and recommend/ would repurchase!

From Mitsuwa (Japanese grocery store for those who are unfamiliar)
  • Large Strawberry Hello Panda
  • Large Strawberry Pocky Pack
  • 2 Strawberry Melty Blend Boxes
  • Assorted Fruit Flavored Popsicle Pack
I actually prefer the blue cream soda popsicles they have but I was being obsessively compulsive cause I wanted all pink stuff lmao Also, all of these except the popsicles were on sale! OoooOoh yeeEeaaH baby! Haha mitsuwa has the best sales ^_^

Haul/ Cute Back to School Supplies Under $20 + Bag Organization Tips

Hello there!! So I know for a lot of younger students as well as some university students have already/ have been in school for a while now but I go back to school this Monday the 28th! I go to community college if anyone was curious..Anywhooo, I usually pick up my school supplies at Daiso (or Marukai idk people call it both names). It's a Japanese dollar store (actually 1.50+ cause its imported lmao) and they have really cute supplies that are wayyy better quality than the dollar stores here in America.

Now I'll show you what I have:

1 inch flexible 3-ringed binder; I put on it this cute Sugarpill sticker I got from IMATS.

Inside I have one divider (add more as deemed necessary, they usually come in a pack anyway) filled with loose college ruled lined paper.

I got 4 of these pink notebooks! I always get one notebook per class!

These notebooks are cool because the cover is a translucent folder thing and its handy for keeping your syllabus or homework safe :D

I highly recommend colored pens, if not for marking important things..it just makes your notes look cute!
Also, a stapler is a must-have. Some rooms/ teachers don't carry a stapler. Worst-case scenario would be that you can't turn in it in not stapled! The flash drive is optional but still recommended. You can find cheap ones. Mine was like $5 from Big Lots.

Left to right: Bunny whiteout, black pens, pencils, highlighters, and a pencil case! Obviously you don't need a charm..my boyfriend gave me it so I put it there hehe.

This is a personal preference, but some kind of journal or planner would help you stay focused and on-track!

I dislike buying lunch cause it's too damn expensive! I picked up a bento box and a portable fork (my boyfriend convinced me out of the chopstick+case option)

Also for my lunching experience, I got a pink water bottle insulator and an aluminium lunch bag for my bento box.

I just feel like I needed to included this in here..boy or girl or whatever..don't be nasty. Sometimes school bathrooms run out of soap okay..

A reference point to the size of my school bag. It fits everything perfectly!

I got it at Forever 21 btw.

Bottom: Binder with my notebooks inside with the rings up so they don't get squished
Left to right: Water bottle (just the case cause I actually don't have any water bottles atm lmao), Lunch bag with box inside, and my pencil case
Top: In the pocket I keep my stapler, whiteout, lotion, and sanitizer. You could just let them float around the bag but it's easier to find them this way. You could also put them in another pouch but whatever hahh

I only carry the notebooks I need for the day (unless I know I'm gonna study for something specific)

Also, if you're wondering about my textbooks, I carry those in my arms. Again, only carrying the books I need for the day.

*TIPS*
  • To save even more money (but probably not be as cute) you'll probably be fine at school with just: a black pen, a pencil, a binder or folder for storage, and some loose paper. Literally, like, I'm excessive haha.
  • To save even more money just take great care in your items, re-use the ones you can. The binder and divider, pencil pouch, colored pens, and bag I've had for a while now.
  • If you feel ashamed to say you got your supplies from the dollar store (any) you're a dummy because who cares. Especially if you're like me, paying for college without parental help, and about to drop almost $500 on textbooks, you can bet I do not give two shits about brands like Jansport or Fivestar. Like no, wtf. (of course if you can afford it do what every you want lol yolo)
